The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a
Recall For Approximately 70,000 Sorento And Sportage
SUV Models Between 2016 And 2023 Due To
A Faulty Tow Hitch That May Pose A Fire Threat.
A similar recall was issued by Kia Telluride SUV owners in August, which
Advised Them To Park Outside Due To An Electrical Issue With Certain Models.
In Addition, 245,000 Hyundai Palisade SUVs
Were Recalled As Part Of That Recall.
Affected models are the Kia Sportage 2017 to 2022, Kia Sorento
2016-2022, Kia Sorento Hybrid 2021-2023, And Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid 2022-2023.
According To Kia, 1% Of The Recalled Cars Contain This Defect.
Kia has not yet provided a remedy, but will notify owners between
November 14 And November 18 As To What The Next Step Will Be.
